Kee Hwang founded his Moo Duk Kwan® martial arts schools in Seoul Korea in 1945 where he taught his martial art system to eager students and american military personnel. In the early days of his Moo Duk Kwan® schools he named his martial art system that was taught in them Tang Soo Do and later adopted the name Soo Bahk Do®.
Today, only those organizations affiliated with the Moo Duk Kwan Botërore are legitimately authorized to represent themselves as Moo Duk Kwan® schools providing instruction in the Soo Bahk Do® martial art system. The SHBA. Soo Moo Duk Bahk A Kwan Federatën has sole and exclusive authorization for use of these trademarks in the USA.

The U.S. Soo Moo Duk Bahk A Kwan Federatën is hosting its 34th annual Nationals in Cherry Hill, New Jersey at the Crowne Plaza Hotel June 27th to 30th, 2012.
International guests, organization officials and practitioners from all over the U.S. will be in attendance for the annual Board of Directors meeeting, Technical Advisory Committee seminars, regional team and individual competition with an awards banquet concluding the festivities on Saturday evening.
