About Kyo Sa Skills

A Kyo Sa will have full responsibility for running classes independently PLUS assuring students have current Federation membership, knowing how to conduct a Moo Duk Kwan® Gup tests, knowing how to prepare Gup test results, knowing proper procedures for submitting Gup rank promotion recommendations to the TAC, knowing proper procedures for awarding Gup certificates, etc.

If a Kyo Sa is also a Teaching Program Leader or a School Owner, then they need business and entrepreneurial training, school management skills, advertising and marketing skills and new student recruitment skills.

  1. Student Acquisition:
    1.  Kyo Sa candidates must find and sign up a minimum of 25   students into the studio they are a part of in order to be certified.   The 10 required for Jo Kyo do not count towards this total. Kyo   Sas must recruit a minimum of 12 new students annually to           maintain certification.
  2. Scripts:
    1.  Kyo Sa candidates are required to have memorized and be able to    professionally deliver all Jo Kyo candidate scripts plus:
      1.  Telephone
      2.  Did not enroll
      3.  Congratulations on enrolling
      4.  Referral from new student
      5.  Cash out
      6.  Student wants to quit
    2.  Long term sign up
    3. Cash out (in office)
    4. Student wants to quit (in office)
  3. Office work:
    1.  All student records
    2.  Gup and Dan testing paperwork
    3.  Financial records
    4.  Filing and assembly of materials for tax purposes
    5. City/County/State registrations
    6. Permits and licenses
    7. Student agreements especially long term
    8. Ordering supplies from vendors
    9. Paying bills
    10. Bookkeeping
    11. (Items in italics apply if school owner is not yet Sa Bom)
  4. Other:
    1. Supervision of Jo Kyo candidates and Jo Kyo work
    2. Organize student recruitment by Jo Kyos, students and parents
    3. Organize and execute internal and external marketing
    4. Advertising
    5. Organize and execute all other PVT activities
